The Virtual Assistant Behind 5-Star Reviews

I’m not front-of-house. Never have been. I’m the one in the background,  replying to emails, keeping things ticking over and making sure no one’s left hanging wondering if they’ve been ghosted.

But recently, something unexpected happened. I started getting mentioned in places I wouldn’t normally show up… like my clients’ Checkatrade reviews.

Not by my clients.

By their customers.

One mentioned how Steve and I were a pleasure to deal with, how communication was clear from the start, and how things were kept on track even when dates had to shift. These reviews aren’t for me, they’re for the tradespeople I support. But let’s be honest… I know who’s been behind the emails, rearranging dates, and gently chasing things up. So yeah, I’m quietly giving myself a gold star.

This also dropped into my inbox from another one of my clients’ customers, after I’d sorted something out:

“If only every contractor was as efficient as you guys are.”

It was about me – and yes, I’m 100% taking that win.

I take representing my clients seriously. It matters to me that their customers feel looked after, that the admin side is sorted, and that the business comes across as organised and professional, because it is. My job is to reflect that in every message, every follow-up, every bit of contact I have on their behalf.

Most of my clients aren’t looking for someone full-time – they don’t need it (or the overheads that come with it). What they do want is someone who can jump in for a few hours a few days a week, keep on top of things, and take the pressure off.

Someone who just quietly gets on with it.
Keeps things moving.
Stops the little stuff piling up.

That’s me. And it turns out, people are noticing.
