If you’ve ever tried Googling what a virtual assistant charges, you’ll know it’s a bit of a minefield. Half the answers are vague, the other half are trying to sell you a course, and none of them actually tell you what you came for.
So here’s my take, straight from the source. What I charge, how it works, and what’s included. No waffle. No sliding scales. Just honest pricing explained in plain English.
Virtual Assistant Support
If you need someone to keep things ticking over, emails, admin, chasing people politely (or firmly, if needed), that’s what I do.
You choose how many hours you want each month. The more you book, the better the hourly rate. Simple.
Here’s the breakdown:
- 32+ hours/month: £25/hr
- 20–31 hours: £30/hr
- 10–19 hours: £35/hr
- 5–9 hours: £40/hr
- One-off or ad hoc: £45/hr
Your hours are booked into my calendar and I keep that time set aside for you. If you don’t use it, it doesn’t carry over (unless we’ve agreed otherwise).
Need more time? Just ask, if I’ve got the space, I’ll say yes. If I don’t, I’ll say no. No drama.
What About Writing?
Now, here’s where it gets a bit more specific.
Small writing jobs, things like a few social posts or a flyer, can be included in your VA hours if there’s time that month. It’s all part of the mix.
But bigger bits of writing like blog posts, newsletters, or website copy? That’s a different kettle of fish.
Those are charged at £50 per hour and we’ll agree how long it’s likely to take before I start. That way, you know what you’re paying and I don’t end up writing War and Peace for a fiver.
Why I Don’t Do Packages With Fancy Names
Because nobody needs a “Silver Swan Success Bundle” or a “Power Hour Productivity Booster.” You’re paying for time, effort and reliable help, not a badge.
I keep things straightforward and get on with the job.

I keep my pricing reasonable because I know what it’s like to run a small business, every expense counts. But I also charge properly for my time, because what I do saves you hours, hassle and more than a few headaches.
